FAQ'S

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How do I get an estimate?
1.    Email or text a drawing with dimensions, type of material, and color.
2.    Email or text your material list
3.    Provide an address, type of material, and color for a rough estimate- you will be required to pull actual measurements from the job before we make anything.

How do I place an order?
1.    Email or text a drawing with dimensions, type of material, and color.
2.    For standard components or if you are well-versed in fabrication, call the office to place an order.

What is the lead time on orders?
If we have your material in stock, jobs are typically ready for pick up within 1-3 business days after you place your order. If your material is being delivered, please give us 3+ days’ notice. If we have to order your material, it could take from 1-3 weeks before we receive it, and then 1-3 business days before it is ready for pick up or delivery.

What do you have in stock?
We have several items readily available for pick up such as: screws, closures/venting material, tape, boots, goosenecks, expanding foam, gutter hangers, tools, and sealant. We have tons (literally) of material in stock, but all panels and trim are made custom to order.

What lengths do the trim & panels come in?
All trim comes in 10’ lengths. Panels are cut to size- some panels have a minimum length.

What tool do I use to cut metal?
There are only a couple of tools that you should be using to cut metal. NEVER use a hot saw or grinder to cut metal roofing or components! Cuts should be made with snips or cold-cut saws only.

Do you make angle cuts?
In a word, no. All angle cuts should be made on site (by you) to ensure accuracy.

What type of material should I use?
We use galvalume for most areas. If you are in a coastal condition, especially within a half mile from salt or brackish water, we recommend aluminum. Aluminum roofing will always come painted with 70% PVDF Resin Paint.

What forms of payment Do you accept?
We accept cash, check, bank wire, money order/cashier’s check. We also accept all major credit and debit cards (a 2.5% convenience fee will be added for all card transactions).

Why do you need the pitch/slope of the roof? How do I measure it?
Before your order goes into production, we need the pitch so that we can make your ridge cap to fit. We will also ask you for the pitch of your drip edge. You can measure the pitch with a 12”-24” level and a measuring tape. Either start at the very bottom of the eave, or at the top of the ridge. Hold the level parallel with the ground and make sure the air bubble is in the center. Measure with your tape down from the 12” mark on the level. This is the number we need to know. To determine the pitch on the drip edge, take a look at how the fascia board is attached. IF it is plumb with the roof, the drip will be made to the pitch of the roof. If the fascia board tilts back, your drip will be made at 90°.
